Aloha everyone!!!!

I've done my looking around and I've yet to find pictures of an up armored version of the Tow variant of the Hummer. I was considering converting the Bronco M1114 kit but wanted to make sure that this particular version even exist. If it doesn't does anyone know why not?

Thank you in advance!!

A TOW version of M1114 doesn't exist. But there is a TOW version of M1151 - a M1167 Enhanced Capacity TOW Carrier. Maybe try to convert a new Academy's M1151 kit?

Yep, You're right... I've completely forgotten about this video. But is it a M1121? Or M1121 was the upgraded version of M1045/M1046? It's the only version, which is an enigma for me...

EDIT. I've read here and there and M1121 was "phisically" identical as M966. And there was a TOW version of M1114 planned (M1115), but i think it was only a plan...

I will be posting some detailed pictures of the XM1167/M1167 TOW Carrier on HMMWV In Scale this week. I'll come back and post in this thread when I get the data/pics up.

The M1121 is an enigma for me as well, and even in the manual it seems unclear what makes it different from the M966. My working theory is that it was the M966A1 fitted with the ITAS launcher. Its A1 based though, at least according the dimensions and weights listed in the operator's TM.

As for the M1115, I have confirmation from a FOIA request that the M1115 designation was indeed assigned, but nothing beyond that.

Also, the M1167's default configuration is with the Integrated Armor Protection (IAP) kit, which is also the default for the M1151A1, M1152A1, and M1165A1. Of course, the various Frag kits can be exchanged for the IAP components or used along with them. There is also a special armored turret that appears similar to the GPK turret, but is specifically intended to accommodate the launcher.

I've added information and photos of the XM1167/M1167 to HMMWV In Scale tonight. You can see the photos in an album here:

XM1167/M1167 TOW/ITAS Photos

You can read a vehicle description on this page:

HMMWV Variants Page

The photos are of XM1167-1 and XM1167-2 that became type classified as M1167.

I found some information at work today on the M1121....Not much but a little.

It has a National Stock Number which is: 2320-01-456-1282

It has a property book LIN number which is: Z94175

All Zulu LIN's in the Army are developmental LIN's and the property hasn't received a 'hard' LIN for fielding to units. Based on this, I'm guessing the M1121 never saw 'official' fielding to operational units.

That's definitely interesting. Its not listed on the TWVRMO catalog website's page of vehicles listed by family. The M1121P1 is listed on the page for vehicles with AoA, with the LIN T07814, and its separate NSN.

I ran the zulu LIN and NSN in FEDLOG. Neither the zulu LIN nor the zulu NSN are active in the logistics database.

The Tango LIN and NSN is valid and still active for requisition. I expected to see the Tango LIN/NSN 'terminal' and unavailable for order.

Much to my surprise, my Battalion just got issued M966's for our TOW carrier authorization that have been stripped of their internal TOW storage components and have been used by the Army for quit sometime as Armament carriers.

I'll email the TOW/ITAS program manager tomorrow and ask about whether or not the M1121 is still authorized for use.
