Dear friends,
I have purchased the trumpeter maz transporter early, I thought of using it with the t-62 1974 with this kit, possible. The t62 kit featured the Syrian version yellow sand with green camou, did the syrians also used maz transporter? Anyone has a picture?
Thanks
Kiong

Hi!!!
It is in deed difficult to find pictures of the Syrian Army...
But:
This one is from the withdrawal from Lebanon
And this one is from the recent events, in Deraa:
both pictures do not show the MAZ transporter...
And the vehicle is a beast... nobody can hide it!!!!
Hi thanks man, they are Maz transporter all right...they were using Mercedes prime movers...any chance anyone has pic of the Maz tractor too?

Hi Kiong
It's a problem of mine, I don't separate the trailer, from the prime mover...
You're right!!
The trailer is Russian made (probably comes with the tanks, because these are the trailers that can carry them with safety), but as you said the prime movers are Mercedes (and as I can tell, an old model)...
I don't know if the prime mover comes in a kit...
as for the photos of the trailer, just google the name of the trailer, and it will show you a lot of pictures...

MAZ-537 is the prime mover from Trumpeter in 1/35
ChMZAP-5247G is the trailer designation, also from Trumpeter in 1/35 (But not seperately)
Prime movers can be any "tractor" that can properly hook it up on its 5th wheel and can hook up the air lines.
It is entirely possible that Syria is using the prime mover too...not too many resources on who operates them. Plausable.
