As this set has not been covered in depth yet I thought I would give a little head's up on it. My friend just bought a set yesterday and promptly phoned me to complain about the figures. He is certainly not new to either modeling or to MiniArt figures in general. This is what he had to tell me: the figures in general are not bad; unfortunately they have more than the usual required clean-up, with flash, heavy mould seams, and some poor registration during the moulding process. A lot of filling and sanding will be required for this set which is reminiscent of MiniArt's earlier releases. I don't know what vehicle they were meant to sit on, but they don't sit conveniently on Shermans, and probably won't sit well on any vehicle, so they will most likely need to be re-worked slightly to fit wherever you want them to fit; or shape 'soft' stowage ie. tarps, netting, bags, etc. under them to conform to the figure's shape.

Hi,

I have a set that came with the Valentine. That is the vehicles they were designed for.

The moulding is excellent for plastic figuers, I can't see any excess flash, and the seem lines are pretty much what you get on most figuers.

PDG set as far as I can see, only real issue is that the Putties seem to extend too far up the Hose, but I'll need to check a few reference pictuers to confirm that.

Perfect No, but very useable. my thoughts anyway.

I did say, "the figures in general are not bad", and I just reported what was reported to me. I will, however, be getting this set for myself eventually, or soon, and see for myself. Maybe MiniArt's quality control was out to lunch and missed a poor moulding on that one. In general I prefer MiniArt figures to either Dragon or Masterbox, although I found Masterbox's Eastern European civilians to be really excellent both in detail and facial features.

First every plastic British tank riders and a desert set to boot, they look like they will build up really well.

Only reporting what I see too.
