anyone any idea where i can find piccies of the js3 in the hugarian revolutin . esp pics of the turret with the white stripes ??? im doing tamiyas model and fancy this scheme . its got the frying pan type turret

And as far as I know white crosses were used in 1968 Prague, not in 1956 in Hungary. But there was no IS-3 in Prague.

Late IS-3M was used in Hungary, not basic IS-3 that is given in Tamiya kit. You will have to do a lot of work to get it into the shape you need.

That's right. The Tamiya kit OOB is accurate only for the initial batch of IS-3s from 1945.
Eduard do a couple of photoetch sets (36036 and 36042) that will help you update it.
