Hi at all,

in another thread i want to convert the new Academy M1151 into an special Forces Version. Thanks all for the help in this Thread. Now i have a little diffrent Question. For another projekt i want to know if the conversion sets from Blast Models, Pro Art Models (Dumvee conversion etc.) and Legend are usable for the older Academy Humvees (M-1025, M998 etc) or only for the Tamiya ones? I know the expensive but very cool Legend Special Forces Conversion set fits both Manufatures.I have some of the older Academy and the Eduard PE Detail sets so i don´t want to buy extra an Tamiya Humvee for 30€ only to use the convertion parts. Are the differences so big in measurements or could i use for example the Pro Art Dumve Conversion set for one of my Academy Humvee´s?

Yes it will fit. In the Legend instruction are some advices for then academy kit. I think when the Legend kit fits to both manufacturers, then the pro art will fit too.

My advice: buy the Tamiya Humvee and the Legend Conversion at Luckymodel.com . Its the same price as the Legend conversion in germany. The Tamiya kit is much better than the academy and the Legend conversion ist better than the pro art set.
