Hi, I could use some advice on a good on line place to buy an air brush , looking for an iwata .Hoping for a canadian store with a few choices . Found one in the US but they asked for 107.$ in shipping costs, that,s just crazy to me.

Hi Mike,

I had a good experience with these guys a couple of years ago when I bought my last airbrush and compressor:

BearAir

I can't comment on the shipping cost to Canada, but I was happy with the prices and service.

Good luck,

$107!?! Was the damn thing gold plated and being shipped from Guam? That's just nuts.

I agree with Mike. Go with Bear Air.

I bought one of my Iwata's from this guy on ebay http://stores.ebay.com/Lewis-Online-Shop and another one from the same guy at his non-ebay online shop
http://www.lewisonlineshop.com

I got an excellent service from him.

Hope it helps.

Get one from your local country, if you can, for these reasons.

Iwatas have a 10 year warranty, but (in the UK at least) this needs to be validated with a sales receipt.

Also, would importing any high-value item will be liable for Cdn. Customs checks & Charges? You need to include this in your cost decisions.
(Don't get me started about the post office & customs! )

Further, & this is not a critisism of any supplier mentioned here, if there's a problem... where do you go?

Oh, I use an Iwata Hp-CS, with 0.5mm tip, btw.

Next time, ask me. I have two Badger knock-offs taking up space. I would be willing to sell them cheap and not rape you on postage.
