Hello gentlemen,
just get finished my Leopard 2A7+ from Y-Modelle. It was built by use of Hobby Boss Leopard 2A5DK und the Tamiya Leopard 2A6 for base model.
This tank is actual not in service with the german Bundeswehr. Although I have marked it wit the "Eiserne Kreuze" (iron cross).
May be we will see this tank in the future in service with the german army...?
A full build review you will see here:
www.panzer-modell.de
In the near future you can read a build review for this model in a further issue of Scale Military Modeller International.

Very nice... how was the Y-Modelle conversion? This is the "export" version sold recently to Saudi Arabia, right?
Great work,
Mario

Thanks Mario!
It was great fun to build it. Resin casting is perfect, fitting is very good to the HB Leopard, for the Tamiya Leo you have to make some little "conversions" ...
I think so...

Been looking for a good Leopard build and I think you nailed it. Any issues with the kit? Paint job looks superb. Another kit I will throw a lot of money at. Just backlogged for a while.

Why did you use both Tamiya and HB Leos? Kitbashing to get the best of both models I guess?
Once again, a great job. Leopard is one of the modern AFVs that I'd love to build, I'm just not sure which conversion to get... that Canadian Barracuda kit from Perfect Scale looks great as well.

Thanks Matt and Mario,
Yes, I have used both kits to get the most and best of both. The HB Leopard has some very poor details, like the sprocket wheels, road wheels, the Periskop Peri R17 A2 and many more... But you need some parts of this kit.
I had both base models lying in my board, so it was easy to take them for kit bashing.
