Dear all,

Our annual club show, Present Arms, will be held on 13 August this year at a new venue! We are now at:

Mawney School
Mawney Road
Romford
Essex
RM7 7HR
(England)

The new venue puts us within easy walk of Romford town centre (with Modelzone & Hobbycraft). There is parking on site as well as a number of local car parks. The usual mix of club stands and traders will be in evidence.

Hope to see you there in four weeks' time!

Tom

Hi Tom
Would it be possible for you to get some photographs of your show for Tankette please. I am currently working on 46-5 issue & show photographs in colour would make a good addition. Also it would help to keep those that say I do not print enough pictures of models.

The main thing is to have a good show.

Regards
Neil

Only three weeks to go!

The Combined Ops show in Kent is the same weekend, but as it is a two-day affair you can come to us on Saturday and still have plenty of time for them on Sunday!

I take it you're not coming? The change of venue was a last-minute thing forced upon us by egregious fate, so we're gonna "suck it and see" at the new one. There's a whole playground for event parking, and of course there are public car-parks scattered around the area.

I'll take all the good-luck wishes I can...

Ive worked it out that if I leave the car at the mother in laws in Hornchurch theres a bus stop right outside so im going to park and ride and get there by bus.
I need something that may be there and it will be cheaper then buying off the net and its a nice little show

Sean, I'll be there well before 8am just to beat the traders! (But most clubs will probably turn up around 9am...)

And Phonetic, glad to see you can make it after all! Track me down on the day and say hello - I'll be the stressed-out Chairman limping around making sure it all goes well.

Hope to see lots of Armorama members at the show!

Sorry to hear about the mag - I've got so many duplicate books for exactly the same reason! As for the venue, it got us out of a hole that would have canned the show for the year, but I'm aware it isn't ideal compared to a single big open sports hall. However, it may be our home for a while yet, as big cheap venues round here are hard to find. (Places the size of the old one are now running the near side of £1000 for the day - it takes an awful lot of trade tables and paying punters to make it work on that scale without costing the club its entire savings...)

Still, we haven't firmed up next year yet, so watch this space!

Regards,

Tom
