Hobby Boss has updated their Hot Product page with the release of their Land Rover Defender 110 Hard Top. This vehicle should make a nice addition to any British OIF/OEF diorama or street scene.

Looking at the sprue shots it appears to be right hand drive.

So, has anyone started to build this yet? I picked mine up at a hobby show last week but won't get to start for a week or two....

This seems like a logical next step, I would like to see more sprue shots, as well as some assembly shots.

Hi Jeremy,
I think the photos in the link above cover all the sprues but will double check this evening. From my initial look at what's in the box it's about 80% like the WMIK version which has been well blogged here.

I've built mine, straight from the box, goes together really well, had a couple of problems but entirely my fault, not paying enough attention to instructions...
It's in subassemblies at the moment waiting for primer.
It's a very nice kit, I'll try to post construction photos as soon as possible.
Cheers,
Christophe

Here are the pics to give you a general idea.
Keep in mind some stuff still has to be sanded properly and many things are not glued on yet, to ease painting.
Cheers,
Christophe

Very good then, that's what I was curious about.
Cristophe: Thank you for sharing your build photos, that answers my other question. Is there any fit issue with the top? Or will it mate to the bed and windshield frame properly?

You're welcome.
The top fits allright, I was just struggling to have everything on without glue for the photographs.
Actually I would say overall the fit is very precise if you take your time.

Hi, looking good so far, when you built the model, the instructions ask you to cut out the 2 black rectangles on item C22, however does not explain what goes into the holes any suggestion please.

C22 is the main rear floor. I think it would be for the radios, however the kit does not come with hence the removal. But it's more a case of removing the raised area than cutting out.
