Several of you say that a real stupid question is that question that is not asked.. so I'll begin with my stupid questions.. hey after they are answered they won't be stupid anymore.. they'll be a little bit smarter...
OK, so what is the difference between using a paint bottle or a color cap? When should I use one or when should I use the other (I promise I have searched the internet for this and the airbrush manual does not say anything either )
Is it just a matter of taste? Is one easier to use than the other? The basic airbrush guides on the net i have seen do not address this.
Thanks

It really comes to a matter of preference. Although, they each have their purpose. For me, the paint bottle is good for when you need to spray a fairly large amount of paint. It can also be used for mixing your paint in it. It hold more for this reason. With my bottles, I have screw tops that can be used for storing the paint the paint in them for latter use.
The paint caps hold less and is good for times when you need to spray just a little, like touch ups or for adding dust to the model. It's also better if you have the paint pre-mixed for paint caps. It's kinda difficult mixing paint in them.

I use the color cup all the time. If I need a large amount of custom color or mixing I mix in a separate container and pour into the cup.
For me I like the small size and lighter weight of the cup.
