Ok. I lost my first post on this, in which I built one set of Tamiya's British Infantry on Patrol and one of Tamiya's British Bren Carriers w/crew. So, I'm starting over. What started as an idea for a simple vignette is growing exponentially. I picked up another set of infantry and another bren carrier. So far, I have about 23 British figures and the two bren carriers. I'm setting the stage as British' paras are being reinforced by the frontline in Holland. I intend to have a barn included. This will allow me to bring in some German soldiers that have flanked the British' line, with panzerfausts and machine guns. A nice little ambush scene. I will be using one of Masterbox's British Paras figures and Dragon's British at Normandy, as well. I have not decided whether to include a tank. But, I have found some 1/35 hay stacks to employ. I may scratchbuild the ruins of a windmill. So, I'm looking at a total of about 30 figures and 2-3 vehicles. I will try to post some new pics of the finished kits tonight. Open to any suggestions or ideas. This has already overgrown itself right into my modern armor budget.

I have to repaint this first one, as the camo did not exist during WWII

My first bren carrier

I may have to tear part of it down to repraint the driver. I'll post photos of the infantry, as they are, either this evening or tomorrow.

Hey Matt ... ya know i like the sound of this ,,lots of action for the ol mark one eye balls ..one thing tho ,,if your going to use a tank I would make it destroyed or badly damaged and abandoned .
My thinking on this is that if a tank was there ( British or German ) there's very little chance of the soldiers being able to beat it ,,in the hands of a good tank crew we know how deadly they can be ..and besides dead tanks always get attention .even tho i am a full blown tread head i do love seeing dead tanks .could never kill one myself .could never waste a tank
Thats my thoughts at the mo

Oh one other thing ..replace the Bren guns from the Bren gun carriers ..those old Tamiya ones are thick and nasty ..use the ones in the Tamiya British infantry sets ..those ones are very very nice

I have a couple that came with the infantry sets. Just have to swap out for some of the Enfields.
