Wow, that's pretty amazing!
The "cloud of dust" is really convincing. I never seen a more convincing action scene I think!
Great work! What is the material you've used for that cloud?

This is some awesome work... Modern armor is not my cup of tea but I love a good diorama and this is one with some of the most convincing smokeeffects I have seen to date. Especially the smoke on the ground. But I also love the exploding wall with the bricks flying around. Very well done.
I'm actually planning a similar thingy but much much smaller. Hope I can pull it off as convincingly as you did
Awesome job

I agree with what the guys above me said . Did you use Halloween "spider webs" for the smoke effect? If this is your first, I can't wait till your next post.

I have to agree you've done a very nice job.
Pretty much 98% of dios with smoke look like crap,to be blunt.
I have tried on hit tanks and they end up in the garbage.I only use it now in very small amounts, chimineys ,small fires and figures pipes or smokes. For the amount you have used it looks quite realistic,The flying bricks really add to the look and possibly add to the idea of the smoke.
Great work on it all.

I am very impressed with the whole scene, but the explosion with the smoke and bricks is as good as I have ever seen. I am going to take a guess and ask if it is the ScaleRama smoke? No matter how you did it, congratulations on a fantastic diorama.

I going to give it a shot and say the stuffing doll makers get from hobby lobby. Just from walking around their store with the wife and looking at what I can use for dio add on or what not I think I seen something like this before.

First of all, thank you all for your comments. Lately I really like to make dioramas from original photographs. This is the second diorama that I tried to copy from photos. The first is a Warrior from the same operation.
In the start smoke was a major problem. The first idea was to create one of the medical cotton. Later I found the material from shoe box from my baby son . This material, as far as I was told by a friend, most used for aquarium filters. Smoke or dust is the first fixed white glue for wood, at the very bottom, and then after the obtained shape, I sprayed with hair spray. I paint it with very little pressure, about 0.3/0.5 bar. Sprayed with hair spray, smoke/dust gets a bit of toughness, so I just put bricks and stones lightly. I saw ScaleRama effects for smoke, but I saw that I can perform with this material. Feel free to ask. if I can answer on any other question about this dio.

Momcha,
Both your dioramass look great. Espically the dust cloud on the first one. Thant you for explaing how it was done. Do you have any in progress photos of the work? That would really make it easier to follow that. Thank you for showing your two dioramas with us. Look foward to seeing your future work.
