Somewhat delayed by some logistical problems, this report covers two very interesting FUTURE releases from AFV Club - both of which are in 1/35th scale.

The LVT looks like it has an impressive amount of detail, inside and out. With sprue shots available, I hope the release isn't too far off. Thanks fro the update.

I am looking forward to the LVT, I am pretty sure that the churchill has been out for some time now though

Wrong Churchill ? AFV Club have a Mk.V with the 95mm Howitzer like the one on the Centaur coming up.

On the subject of the LVT-4 does anyone know anything about the DML one they just announced as an Orange Box kit ? I didn't know that they had an existing LVT-4. I'd heard they were doing a new one in 1/35 but figured it would be a white box or regular DML release so this one has me a wee bit confused.

It's just Dragon trying to spoil someone else's party again...

Dean, you're probably right about the Churchill. PMMS shows the 95mm one (and the MkIII Dieppe as a future release).

Yeah thought it might be the Italeri one reboxed as the sprues do look the same, just wondered if anyone knew for certain. That's a pretty extreme spoiler to go to the trouble of buying an old kit from a competitor to beat AFV Club to the punch.

Wow, anything to get rid of the old Italeri LVTs.

I built the LVT-4 and the tracks are atrocious. The detailing of the kit is alright, but could be improved a good deal with the Eduard PE for it.

The AFV Kits look great, can't wait for that LVT 4

I must confess I already have the italeri kit with all the AM bells and whistles. Maybe I'll do a dio with both in and a comparison build

Sorry to say though, as I'm a big AFV Club fan, but that Dieppe Churchill has been 'Future' for at least a year now. In fact I seem to recall last year it initially said 'August' then got changed to 'future'. Sadly it seems some AFV Club kits disappear into these interminable development cycles with no apparent release resulting

On another note....

WHAT are DML thinking. Anything to try and spoil someone elses party its bad enough when Italeri, Tamiya etc repop their own kits to cash in on someone else's new release but to repop someone else's old kit is somewhat tragic I think

Same here .... have the Italeri kit, Eduard PE, Friul tracks and Verlinden interior. Suppose its my own fault for hanging on too long

And something else from Chrisīs post

Tragic is putting it too mildly!! Its not like the Italeri kit is hard to get either, and itīll be a good bit less than Dragons prices here in Sweden, as most sellers see the Cyber hobby name and double the price!!

I too will wait for the AFV kit, and hope it can be built into a British operated vehicle.
Does anyone know of a 20mm Polsten cannon manufacturer?

I totally agree with you on the Italeri LVT tracks, they are better than the Nitto / Blue Tank ones but not by much.

Having crawled all over the LVT(A)4 that Budge had in his collection in the early 1990s, I can appreciate how delicate those tracks should look up close, something I hope AFV Club captures. Failing that there is always Fruil tracks.

PMMS review

Still 4 bits of VINYL for the tracks, but so far as can be seen from pics, waay better than Italeri's

These are crying out for the single link treatment, please release an add-on set like for the excelent Churchills?
