Hello Brendan. Nice to have you here. The build looks clean. A clean build is the corner stone for painting and weathering. I'll be watching this one, as I intend to build Tamiya's Leo 2A6 in the future.

Finished building what i can of the Leo. All parts that include PE, or are to be painted tan are left out.





You might find a few screwups in the gluing of the hull, But it should be fixable later. I modded the flap behind gun a little bit, so that the gun can still elevate, and such, and so the flap would also move according to the angle. (see pic 2)
Now to get proper glue for PE, then finish 'er up, and onto painting.

Are you going to be using the pe that comes with the kit or am parts? I've dug myself a $200 hole in am for my upcoming. I can't notice any bad glue jobs in your build. Keep on it, this is the baddest tank on the planet. My apologies to you Abrams and IDF guys, but other tanks just can't compete.

I'm using the kit's PE.

Matt, Brendan not sure how you two figure that one. The German's and Canadians might be really good at gunnery (hence their many wins of the CAT tournament in the "old" days) but let's face it the Abrams and Merkava's are both battle tested as are their crews. . . .

Not sure you can say one is better than the other, I mean they all have much the same armour, pretty much the same power to weight ratio, similar electronics and exactly the same gun.

Certainly combat experience goes to the IDF then the US.

Of course at the end of the day they are just trying to copy the Brits. I mean 2 damaged and one destroyed (by another Challenger) and the world record for the longest range engagement how can you compete ?

So i guess 3 years in the sands of Afghanistan don't count?
sounds like battle tested to me! Considering KMW is using canadian experience to improve future Leopards kinda says something.

Simple, fewer destroyed Leopards. And that includes those engaged in combat.

Your doing good work Brendan, so good that your Leo would kill my M1 and T 62!
