Would someone have a picture of MRE / rations cardboard box used by french army in Afganistan?

Would it be possible that french soldiers use US MRE in Afg. like for example czech troops? This would be much easier to get these in 1/35

Thanks for any reply

Hi Jiri,

you are a lucky guy, I recently bought me a French MRE box. Drop me an e-mail to [email protected] and I send you some pics and measurements.

Hans-Hermann

P.S. The contents of the box are really excellent

According to this article http://www.lemonde.fr/culture/article/2010/12/18/le-repas-du-guerrier_1455468_3246.html French MREs are considered as being among the best on the battlefield, but the author explains that occasionally French soldiers in Afghanistan enjoy bartering some of their rations for US ones just for a change

This www.multi-board.com/board/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=14465 had pictures of most rations used post WW2

As for MRE I remember a dialog during Reforger 1988. We had exchanged EPA for MRE(the GIs got the better deal!) and tried to figure out how to heat them,

Q: How do you eat these?
A: Tabasco (followed by the GI handing me a huge bottle)

After that it tasted good. Or maybe my tastebuds where simply burned off :-)
