Hi guys and gals!
I´m starting my new project, after finnishing my Osório MBT, it´s a Italeri Panzer IV, I gonna make the ausf G version.
It gonna be a vehicle used by LSSAH during the battle for Charkow - Russia (1942-43), and I´ll paint it overall panzer grey with a heavylly weathered white winter camo, and red numbers....
Let´s see what happens!
Cheers!

Sounds good! Will you paint it overall Panzer Grey and add the Whitewash? Or Overall white and then heavily weather with the Panzer Grey to show the cammo wearing away? I read about the second method in FSM once and always wanted to try it.

Sounds like a great project Paulo. I've always thought the Eastern Front never got the attention the ETO got.
For the record, I'm writing a 'Content Contest' piece about painting winter washes using a technique I've dubbed 'Painting in Reverse'. It's almost done, so if you've not gotten to that stage of your project by then, please check it out and see if the technique could work for you. :-)

Hi and thanks for all comments!
At first I was thinking about painting it overall panzer grey, coat it with a gloss coat, apply decal, wash and weather, flat coat and than paint it with Tamiya acrilics white and just after painting it start to remove it using alcohol and a rag or tissue....It was my first idea.....I have made the white first atempt once, but I'd like to try something new!
What do you think?
Cheers!

Ola Paulo,
Hi Paulo,

Espero fotos do seu Pz IV, tenho de experimentar as técnicas nos meus Sherman.
I hope we can see photos of it, I have to try white wash on one or two of my Shermans - one each way - OD over white and white over OD.

O seu post fez com que fosse promovido.
Thanks to you I have been promoted again.

Boa sorte
All the best

Jose---I saw the OD on white technique recently. Very impressive. Good 'ole Tead traded me a M3 Lee for a Steyr. Once I get the M-3, I thought I would try that method. Let you know how I make out.

Paulo,
Remember, the white was applied after ontop of the gray, and if the white wears off, the gray shows through. as most of the times the white was applied with what they had, like brooms, swabs etc and very dilluted paint. This would make the white in all the "indented" places, and wouldnt wear off right there. So I'd paint it in a white color first, then drybrush the heck out of it with the panzer gray, especially where the paint rubs off most, like cupolas, edges, where the crew walks around the most etc etc.
Well thats my 2¢
