I ordered 3 sets of these when they came out as there are few Russian crew figure sets out there. These are very reasonably priced (I think it was $8 a set) for resin figures and the detail and quality of the resin is perfect. I got them matched up to some WIP when I get back to finishing them off.

However nice these, and other, figures may be, the vast majority of resin figures tend to be tank crews of some sort. I would like to see the day when enough infantry figures in action poses, in various nationalities, preferably in styrene (please, no Tamiya!) are available to make reasonably sized dioramas as in 1/35. A well built and well detailed 1/48 vehicle can rival it's 1/35 counterpart. Personally, I only prefer 1/35 over 1/48 because of the availability of support figures.

I couldn't agree with you more. However, it is getting better. Parabellum for British, Dartmoor for German, and Total War Miniatures have a lot of available figures (although Parabellum and Dartmoor are metal). Wouldn't it be nice if 3D printing allowed us to shrink down some of those gorgeous 1/35 figures to use. Nemrod, S&T, Alpine, Royal, Legend, Dragon - oh the possibilities
Currently working on dio in 1/48 with 26 British figures, and half are AFV Crew. Other half are ground troops.

I can't imagine why the various makers of the 1/35 figures aren't downsized?
The Tamiya figures make me cringe and I only am happy using their gear for other figures and vehicles.
