Would it be possible to make your own IR lighting device that was on top of Panthers and other AFV'S. Basically I would settle for a little one, like on the Panther's turret.
Thanks!

I saw a very good one scratchbuilt by casting clear plastic( read melting a bunch of clear sprue) then painiting the outside. I thought it looked excellent. Do a google search for "Scratchbuilt IR" and see what you find.

You can also get red holiday plates at places like Party City. You can cut a disk from those.

Couldn't I use a piece of drinking straw, with some sort of lens. Add some wires from the back of it, and a stand to put it on, and then glue that to the top of the turret.
Would that work?

I've heard that photographic film cut to resemble a lenses makes a good IR lense.
