Is this the future that you guys spray your models with to protect the paint before the weathering? I'm just trying to find something similar here in Egypt.

Thanks for that link, Eddy... it's very informative.

One more question.. if I find something that I suspect is similar.. how can I test it before I try spraying it through my airbrush? I'm just worried it might damage it. As for the plastic, should I just brush it on with an old brush and see if it dries clear and glossy?

Thanks again for your help, guys.

Before testing, read the label and if the word 'wax' appears as an ingrediant or effect of use of the product, then it probably is not compatible with paints in the way that us modelers use them.
If 'wax' does not appear, then test, test, test!

'wax' and/or 'silicone'. Anything containing silicone will prevent paint from adhering and will pretty much wreck your airbrush requiring a complete and through cleaning. It is an ingredient in a lot of furniture 'polish' type products (makes furniture shine) but nothing will stick to anything that it has touched. Kind of like trying to paint a resin piece that hasn't had the mold release cleaned off

Future with Pledge is correct. The Pledge is an acrylic polymer. That's the magic ingredient. To test it, it's very simple. Take a scrap piece of plastic and just air brush any old color on it, let dry 24 hours. Now either air brush or hand paint straight from the bottle and let dry for a few hours. Now both air brush and hand paint over it. Let dry. It if sticks and doesn't chip off, then all is well.
