Tiger 1 ? Yes
Late production? I suspect so (Couple of hints in the pic)
Camo pattern red brown & Green (Is the dark yellow there ?...maybe)
Pale grey under the chiped Zimmerit.
Italy 1944 (from little info I studied)

Now ....Tank ID ?? Numbers No idea. (I've had dreams about seeing the number....tragic!)

Any one help on this iconic disabled machine please..

Hi Geoff,
That's a 3./Ko tiger of the s.Pz.Abt.508.
As you say, it's Italy and the place is Poggibonsi.
Again as you say, a late Tiger and looks to have the 40mm turret roof.
These 508 tigers were simply marked with the company number.
It most probably had a '3' on the turret sides and the turret bin, same as the other 3./Ko tigers:


Camo?? Most probably Green and Brown randomly sprayed over the Dark yellow. But hard to see under all that Italian dust.

1st link (same as mine) does provide colour pics too. Your right !
handy for camo. The dragon kit I have does detail cam pattern for 508..... But ...


2nd link gives me another perspective & better detail on the surrounds ie : where the missing track of the left side goes etc. Ie off into the bush.

Thanks again this ongoing project has found it's way out of the cupboard/box again...work on the deuce & 1/2 ..progresses beyond the black undercoat !
