Hi Everyone, my name is Grzegorz and I would like to show you my new project. This time it will be russian MBT T-80 BV. I`m trying to build a most realistic model in my life, that`s why I`m going to use many additions designed for T-80 BV from Dragon. My T-80 kit is from Zvezda:
Everyone saw that kit . Except Zvezda I`m going to use:
- Voyager Models: ERA bricks and anti-fragment shield:
- Masterclub: Tracks links and the road wheels:
-Eduard photo etched set number 35328
-RB Model: Gun Barrel for russian modern tanks.
And this is, what I did for now:
One of my friends from Poland Is doing for me some extra parts to make my model more realistic. I don`t know how it names in English language, but the photos will tell you everything
And this is how I`m going to paint my model:
That`s it for now. I hope you like it. Best regards. Grzegorz
Couple more pictures just for fun

Hi Grzegorz,
Greetings for Trinidad. Great build. I have this kit and I know it is a bit of a dog but you are motivating me alot. I'm going to follow this build every step of the way. I will be going the SP Designs tracks instead of the masterclub( a cost choice). Looking forward to seeing this beast complete.

Must be a tedious job to make all the ERA blocks from etch! Nice start.

I've been looking into buying this kit over the past couple of months. I'm very interested in how it builds up and will keep an eye on this thread. First question, why all the putty?

Because the turret shape is wrong:

Grzegorz- awesome work so far- you've certainly got a lot of aftermarket stuff for this kit!
I have this kit in my stash somewhere so I'll definetly be following this with interest.
Good luck for the build !

I have a soft spot for russian armour and vehicles - especially from the Cold War era, so I will be watching this build.
You're off to a good start and it looks like a long build for you with all that AM
Cheers

Thanks to all of you . Maby in September I`ll get a brand new turret for my model. One of my friends from Poland offer me to do a new, correct resin turret and his going to do that by his own hands.

Any chance you can convince your friend to cast these parts? Between his incredible scratch work and your turret corrections we might be some way onto getting a decent T-80B.
Excellent work so far!

What an outstanding job!
And you must be very brave Grzegorz to try to correct that awful kit
Thanks a million for sharing. I appreciate a lot the explications about how to correct the turret shape
I'll follow very carefully this tread
cheers

Great job so far. I would not say the base kit is horrible, but I do wonder why you did not start with the SKIF T-80 kit? It is more accurate dimensionally, even thought the turret is the -UD and a -B would need to be modified from the DML kit or scratchbuilt.

Hi Grzegorz, great wip build you have there. I will be watching this with great interest as I've just received mine last week & while my morale is a bit on the downside of things upon opening the box, seeing your work is keeping the flame alive. Maybe I should get those AM parts to make it better .

Hi everyone!! It`s me again. I have to stop with this build, till the end of september. I need to wait for those extra parts. I live in England, and the parts will come to me from Poland, so it`s gonna take a few weeks until I get them. Be patience. Best regards. Grzegorz
