In light of the up coming Campagin I was doing some research and found these - thought they may lend a bit of instipration and ideas to the subjects....

They are carrying food containers, supposedly hot when filled but if they did make it to the front no doubt they would be cold.
Just out of interest i was researching what i intend to do for my campaign entry and found that i have a picture of that photo in a volume of the Second Great war (A very old set of books i was given ideal for research) . It was taken at Sevastopol.

martin confirms what the book says about the photo. I saw these photos in SS The Blood Soaked Soil.
