I have this book, and outside of an old Ballentine book on Uncle Bill ,precious little,at least in the US. Slim was well regarded by his men,his allies(including Vinegar Joe Stillwell) and his enemy. Much different than Monty.
It's a small volume, and simply whetted my curiosity. Slim's statue,by the way, is the only one I photographed in London 3 years ago.
I think this volume is very much worthwhile, particularly as a start to learn about the forgotten 14th Army.
