Would the exhaust screens on an in service King Tiger look all dented like this or is this just because it is a display piece and had people crawling all over it at one time?

Best guess is that they would get distorted in use but they never really survived long enough to get that level of abuse.

German tanks didn;t have screens covering their exhausts. That there is an air intake grille.
