I have been on an artillery kick lately. I recently built the Zvezda LFH18 10.5cm Howitzer, the Pegasus IE IG18 75mm Pack Howitzer and Zvezdas Pak 35/36 and Soviet 45mm. I used Dragons figures solely with the LFH 18 and one Dragon figure with the Pak 35/36.

@nikon1 - Charles,
That's a nice artillery kick you've been on! Although the other pieces are interesting and well buiIt I happen to like the Zvezda LFH18 10.5cm Howitzer and crew the best of all. Very good job overall. I think what makes this piece so interesting for me are the bushes on the base they are in scale with everything.
I have the Ace LFH18 10.5cm in the stash and I hope it will come together half as good as yours is?
Thanks for sharing and posting your builds, hoping to see more.

Thanks Eddy, the I too really like the LFH 18, its a gem of a kit. The only disadvantages to the kit is the barrel isn't bored and the elevation is lacking. I would have liked to see the full complement of 5 crew members included rather than two figures. So, I used Dragons as the poses are much better.

Lovely builds.
What Dragon kits did you get the figures from if I may ask?

The figures are from Dragons Pak 40 w/gun crew figure pro kit.

Really great seeing these little guns. Looks like you did a super job considering the size. I really like the way your figures turned out. Although the pictures are a bit small it looks like you did a nice job on the flesh parts. I particularly like that the guy in the first picture with the rolled up sleeve, looks impressive. Did you use varying shades of flesh?

Thanks. AJ, I used Model Masters flesh paints to vary the skin tones during summer

Charlie,
Really nice job on those little guns. I know what building can be like as I've done a few in the past. The figures really add to them, I just wish that more decent ones were available. I have the Dragon PaK 43 and have built the PaK 36 but have yet to try the figures.
I've noticed the Model Master multiple flesh paints but never tried them. I definitely have to look into them.
Cheers,
Jan

Thanks Jan. Dragons figures are very well done and is the only one who produces the best figures for artillery pieces in Braille. I just wish they would produce more figures than what they have offered us so far. As for the model master flesh tone paints, they really need to be thinned as the paint is pretty thick.

Nice work Charlie. I have seen these kits around and have been wondering how well they turn out,. Now I know! Will have to pick some up.
I will most definately be looking out for those Dragon figures as well. Have seen some of the infantry they have released with a couple of armour kits recently and they look very nice.
Cheer,
Tim

Thanks Pedro. I ran into a problem attaching the shield to gun on the Soviet 45mm. It didn't want to snap into place which causes the gun and cradle to not attach to the carriage. Overall, not a bad kit. The LFH18 is a gen ov a kit and assembles very easilly. The guns and figures take paint extremely well. I used super glue to keep the parts attached. The Pegasus IG IE18 is actually made by Cesar Miniatures and the gun assembly has fit problems with the carriage but, it does build into a nice little kit.
