Oh man, we just finished moving into our house and as it turns out one of my dioramas is missing. I know I packed it into a small box but now it is nowhere to be found. What's even worse is that my wife remembers putting a few boxes out for the garbage man. I have that sick feeling that my diorama is now gone. Why oh why!

Sorry to hear this Marty and MC. If this was unintentional, and it sounds as if it was, then, well, **it happens. But on the other hand....

Holy cow -what a crush. Man the loss...... That's gotta hurt.
I would want anything to happen to any of my projects. One thing I try to do once I"m done is get some pictures taken so i have something that may last a bit longer.
I know my diorama wont last for ever. But man that's not the way they should go.

Garbage man probably took it home, and said to the neighbors, " My work is complete, it took me three years of long work!" He took credit for your dio!

So sorry to hear about that guys, and to think I got upset when my 6 year old broke a part off of one that I was working on. The fine line is that all models can be fixed or replaced, but family can't. Hope it all works out in then....Ox

Al's right about wives and their eternal quest to throw things out. With mine, it is my supplies. I have a "lazy susan" in my paint booth, so I can turn and move my model when spraying. I keep the newsprint paper most on-line stores use for cushioning when sending kits. I place that over the "lazy susan" to protect it, and keep the booth cleaner. "She-who- must-be-obeyed" is constantly trying to throw out my stash of paper. I told her, "please, go upstairs and bake something."

Anyway, I thought you'd all be interested in hearing how I acquired my limp.

My wife is an Ohio State Trooper... she has a tazer , pepper spray, a shotgun, and a side arm, so I do not argue with her much.

..my wife is NYPD, I know how you feel

I dunno. I'd like to see the wife first
All I know is that in thirty years from now your hands may be too shaky to make models, and your wife will still.... You know, that wife-sized box doesn't sound so bad after all !

I feel the pain. i had the same thing some way. I did a move from Kingsville TX to Jacksonville, FL. I had a collection of C-130's probably about 15 total. Got to my new house and that one box was missing and the movers knew nothing. Years of work gone for every.

What a bummer! (thats a understatement). But your skills are better and you have more room for new ideas and subjects. I'm sure your wife feels bad and will make up for the losses.
