Hi Pete
Im not sure which one is regarded as being the best over all, but there are several excellent versions.
In plastic Tasca make 3 separate 50 cal sets, which are the best in plastic, but have ww2 cradles and mounts only I think.
Academy also have a good set of 50 cals and do include modern ammo boxes.
AFV club have one in the Stryker equipment set which is another excellent version, and comes with a modern US mount.
However for the WMIK the only 50 cal that comes with the correct mount is in the Legends WMIK upgrade set. (there maybe another one from blackdog or d-toys but I can't find the news item for that right now)
I would suggest the Legends set and if you want a metal barrel from RB models, which is a well detailed accurate and cheap option

Talking about available barrels, there's a comparative review of a few of them on PMMS :

Keep in mind that not just any M2 will do. You need a .50 with the quick change barrel assembly for what you want. The Brits were smart and did away with the user adjustable headspace and timing years ago.
