I have picked up a DML 251/22 kit # 6248, something different for me. It has a gun, 75mm and wheels. So far I have been unable to find any PE for this kit, only the AFV Club.
The gun shields look very thin even in plastic, would it be neccesary to replace with PE? Anything on the 251 itself that should be replaced with PE? I am going to go OOB, but was wondering about the shield.

Jim,
IMHO the only reason to replace the gun-shields is if you truly want in-scale thickness which only PE can deliver. Otherwise the kit-supplied parts are as good as it gets in styrene and staying OOB. PE-wise the only thing you might want to add would be some tool-clamps for the fender stuff but that would be about it in terms of keeping things simple vs. going all out and doing a full-on Voyager/Griffon-type PE splurge.

Hi JIm,
Eduard do this set, 35776, which is for the Dragon kit:
http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=35776
The instructions can seen at the Eduard site, here:
Sd.Kfz.251/22 Ausf.D
I don't know the set, so I've no idea how good or bad it might be?
Grant.
