Anyone have any idea what figure sets Steven Zaloga used for his M4A1 76mm build in the Osprey book "Modelling the US Army M4 (75mm) Sherman Medium Tank" on page 4?

IIRC the pointing figure was a Verlinden Conversion. At least two of the others were by Yanks miniatures which are now out of production

You could always ask Steve directly over on Missing Lynx - IIRC he hosts the Allied Discussion Forum...

But don't ask him directly he hates that
Looking at them again I think the Bar Gunner was also a Verlinden Figure I have the original article around somewhere I'll find it tomorrow
Here are the Yanks figures
And here is the set the Pointing figure comes from Verlinden 2138 - US Tankers Figure Conversion Parts http://www.panther-models.com/products/Verlinden-2138-%252d-US-Tankers-Figure-Conversion-Parts.html

Hi, in Steve's "Modelling US Armor of WW2" (which is definitely worth getting) he states, "One of my most elaborate figure vignettes was this set of tank riders....sources including Yanks Miniatures "US Tank Riders (9702); Verlinden's "Trapped US Infantry (1663) and "US Tankers: Have a Light (1257)" modified with various Hornet and Warriors heads. [pg 133] He has a pre and post build pics in the book

Wow, that was quick. Good work.
Thanks a million, too bad that Yanks set is no longer produced, it looks pretty nice. Guess I'll try to cobble something together out of the sets I can find. Thanks for the heads up on that book, I'll start looking for it.

One interesting thing he did with the BAR gunner was to use an old 1/32 BAR from the Airfix multipose set and add a 1/35 barrel to give it a better sense of weight.
