I was wondering people, on a lot of tanks there are spare tracks (duh) and lots of them have the spare tracks painted the same color as the hull of the tank (another duh...) Has anyone ever made a model (or seen a picture) of these spare tracks being used. Such as a tank with a section of track that is the color of the hull.
Just a thought.......

I never have. I really don't think that the "painted" spare's paint would last through more than a few minuets of usage.

Not the same thing but I've seen pictures from Desert Storm and OIF/Op Telic where a sand painted vehicle has a roadwheel replacement that is painted the standard green.
