This looks pretty nice. About on par with 1/32 snap models, but with a better detailed underside. I like it. Any idea who will be carrying them? I will need a couple.

Nice job Jim
I guess the decals could be used for the "TOYOTA" often seen written on the tailgate :
(to bypass licensing issues ? )
Reminds me of Toy Story pizza truck

I really like these video previews.. I could almost smell the plastic! Thanks a lot, Jim.
Maybe it's like Frenchy said.. they give the modeler the letters to make up the "word" instead of having a decal that says "TOYOTA" and then have to deal with licensing issues. Not a bad idea

Time to be picky AMS person.. Will need after-market tyres as the ones on it are all wrong. Totally wrong shape with far too low a profile. These trucks have an off-road tyre with much higher profile.
Sorry...

I hate using cliches, but damn they come in handy sometimes. How about stepping outside the box and going with "DEER" or "GREAT WALL?"

Would this mean there's one of these in the pipeline somewhere ? (far fetched theory I know )

I myself will be wishing for a Toyota Land Cruiser... I don't think there has been a conflict in recent history where these vehicles weren't used. I think a Land Cruiser would be a perfect choice for one of their future projects.

Talking about Chinese-built pick-up trucks like Deer or Great Wall, I think we could add the Grand Hiland Deluxe to the ever-growing wish list... :

Jim,
It is a great review...... I just noticed that Hobby Easy has these for $23.00 USD far better than the 39.00 I thought it would be... noe I just need the Trumpy rocket launcher to go with it.

Right now, its available at Lucky Model and Hobby Easy for about $32 including shipping to the US. Ebay also has it for a little bit more. I am guessing all the other Asian suppliers have it as well. It will probabl be in US shops in a few weeks, but will most likely be quite a bit more expensive.

Nice review.
It doesn't appear that this truck can be assembled with the doors open. That's really too bad.
