Stefan,
Thanks for a fine review! There is definitely a lot in the box, so us Sherman-addicts can use the spares on other kits...
I agree there is a bit more flash than I expected - that seam around the base of the turret cheek armour needs addressed. And sad as it sounds, I know enough about the different engine hatches to say that lower hull is definitely for the Ford GAA-powered M4A3. (The M4 with its radial engine has a smaller belly hatch that doesn't cut through the reinforcing rib between the rear bogies.)
Regards,
Tom

Thanks for getting this up Mario, and thanks for the additional info Tom. I think it is always important that other people add their knowledge to the discussion on a review.
Cheers!

Hey Stefan,
I can't really make out the rear of the hull in the pics. Does it look like it has the block off plates for the hull vents? If it does, that means the hull was carried over from the "battle of the Buldge" kit.

Yep, it's the 'A' M4 A2/A3 sprue with the flat vent plates molded on the upper hull, which I believe originated from the Soviet M4A2 (76) W kit. The instructions tell you to file/sand them off.

John, I confirm: It's definitely the same sprue as the BoB kit but with the modifications as introduced in their HVSS kit (mainly the weld seams on the upper hull).
Cheers!
