Hello Gentlemen,
I`ve recently bought Dragons 1/35 Marder II Sd.Kfz. 131 für 7,5 cm Pak 40/2 (No. 6262). Normally i am modelling Allied WWII and Vietnam, thus this kit is used to "cheat" my normal topics. I have never had a kit where I`ve heard such different opinions from fellow modelers. The opinions ranged from "I threw it into the bin" to "excellent kit". Nevertheless I`m very excited to start this kit but naturally as an allied modeler trouble starts before even opening the kit.
1. I`m open and thankfull to/for all kinds of hints and tips regarding this model. I`m allready aware of the missing fuel tank cap.
2. I`m in need for all kinds of photos of the interior of this vehicle. Especially the radio rack, the ammuniton stowages, the drivers seat and the transmission are of particular interest. I`m aware that many parts corresponded with the Panzer II parts, so Panzer II photos would also be appriciated if labeld with a little hint that its a Panzer II. I`m, as I told you, not a specialist on german tanks. Literature recommendations are not necessary, because I`m not too keen of buying a bunch of books just to model 2 german armour kits in my lifetime.
3. As i`ve noticed, there is an ongoing discussion about the interior colour of this kit. As it seems to be an unsolved mystery any opinion about this topic is appreciated. The most convincing suggestion so far is the fighting compartement in overall vehicle colour, the floor, transmission and seat in dark greengrey and the interior of the drivers compartement in interior/egg white with the "border" between the two colours under the central casemat beam under the Pak.
Any help, links and thoughts are appreciated a lot.
Best Regards
Dennis

Hello Everybody,
I give this a little bump up because reference pics of the Marder II, especialy the interior, are still appreciated. Frenchy delivered a whole bunch of nice pics but there can not be enough references...
Best Regards
