Dear All
After visiting some battle fields here around Bastogne, my daughter after climbing a sherman at Clervaux's castle asked me about building the tank.

Since I am not a Shermie expert, i would to know what is the best kit in town no fancy one just a good easy kit to assemble.

She is 5 so Daddy will do most part of the job.

I hope to hear from you soon
Cheers
Seb

Hi Seb, Not a sheman expert myself but if its to be 1/35th I would go with a Tamyia one as we all know their simple to build well engineered not as detailed as a dragon but Im sure it will look like a Shermen to your daughter.hope this helps

Concur...go with a Tamiya Sherman. I recommend the M4A3

Very easy build.

If you want to build the sherman at Clervaux's castle , you need the Dragon M4A3 76 or the tasca M4A3 76.

The Tasca kit will be more expensive, but will go together better.

Tamiyas seem to fall together just shaking them out of the box! Not the most accurate, but then they are thirty years old!

I doubt that she is worried about open sponsons and things.

Hi Seb!

I say go for Italeri's M4A3 or A1. Easy to build, easy to find, cheap and reasonable detail.

Cheers!

Another good thing about the Tamiya Sherman's; lots of extras.

There's always the 1/32 scale Monogram / Revell rerelease - M4 and M4A1 Shermans .Ok not a great kit for accuracy but its fun to build , not as many parts as a Tamiya kit , and its a larger size . Might be easier for little hands to work on . The M4 came with a Cullin hedge row cutter and extra armour ( sandbags for the hull front and sides ) , the M4A1 had the Calliope rocket launcher system .

Hi Seb 43!!!

Long time I didn't heard about you. Real pleasure!! Your models are pretty good.
Nice to see your daughter and your son. You should be a good father. So congratulation for your family. I am really happy for you. Are you still in Bastogne? Did you find something to do in this town?

See you soon!
