M113 Fitter Used in Vietnam???

Was the M113 Fitter(M578) present during Vietnam?

As the name implies, the M113 Fitter is a M113 variant. The M578 is a whole different vehicle, based on the M107 SPG chassis.

The Fitter was used in Vietnam by the Australian Army :

Hi Matt,

Frenchy is correct. I might be wrong but as I understand it the M113(F) was never adopted by the US. However they were extensively used by the 1ATF as Light Aid Detachments (LAD) to 1 Armd Regt and the 3 Cav Regt.
