Wondering if anyone can help selecting a paint color for the 155mm barrel that was used during the Vietnam war. Acrylic if possible. I am working on this model. Thanks in advance.

It is actually bare (unpainted) steel. There are a bunch of companies that make a steel paint. Alclad is good, as is Testors Model Master buffable paints. I prefer to mix my own steel color using chrome silver and flat black. I don't use any exact ratios, but just mix it to look right. A small amount of silver to the black is all it takes.
Here is how it comes out.

I prefer to airbrush Model Master Metalizers. Steel or polished Aluminum are two good choices.
