There has been some back & forth about models of German motorcycles without sidecars. The bikes seem as though they were designed to have the sidecars, so I thought the photo below was interesting, since it clearly shows recce troops on sidecar-less bikes:

Looking at the twin tail pipes of the exhaust possibly DKW's.

Could be a DKW NZ 350 or BMW R12 or Zundapp K800,,they all have small tires not the big ones like the R75
