Saw it and meant to ask...
Is it the white technical with ZPU-1, just painted red, some running boards, a Special Forces figure and some stowage, or is this an entirely new style of pickup? The ZPU-1 white pickup also comes with a rollbar.

I guess it's the same red pick-up already pictured in Terry's review on PMMS...

....with some "SF camping stuff" added

I was wondering what their next kit would be.. glad it's along the same theme!
I guess it's the same Hi Lux with a different set up.
Is that figure... Robert Skipper

Just a 'polite' reminder. As PMMS (and ourselves) are careful to WATERMARK images, one of the reasons we do that is stop them being posted on OTHER Sites.
IF YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO POST THE IMAGES - FAIR ENOUGH, I DOUBT IF THE POSTER OF THIS THREAD ASKED AND OBTAINED PERMISSION FROM PMMS?
How often to I have to repeat this?

Yup, its the same truck kit with probably a new sprue or two that has the Operator and extras on it. If you study the sprue shots of the truck kit, the running boards are there already as well.
Looks like a nice adition. It will be interesting to see what else they come out with.

Well, they got the color of the cap and the truck right. Looking at the box art, the arms on the figure are a little on the small side...
By the way, a quick peek into the instruction manual may reveal future versions of the kit as well.
Just started mine. I can't believe there weren't more positive comments. Come on-steerable front wheels, separate windshield wipers? And we're worried that the doors are molded closed?
My only wish is that they will include a right hand drive dash in the future for Afghanistan versions. Let's face it, most guys aren't going to want to go through the trouble...

Hi Rob. There is an uncanny resemblance, hmm...
Any hints to what the instructions show? Mine is still in the mail.

There are some nice line drawings which show a Contractor version with armored compartment and turret in the rear, an SF version similar to the MiG kit with 240B on roll bar, X Wing and apparently so full of gear there's no room for the gunner, (interesting with an open door) one with a roll bar and what appears to be a modified HMMWV style weapons ring mounted in the rear of the cab, a snorkel and a push bar, and finally a full roll cage SF version with cammo netting. Maybe they's just showing what you can with the kit. The basic SF version, once again, is NOT a configuration we used in the beginning, although I've seen contractors roll that way later on. The "SF" version is how we rolled with US purchased Tacomas - perhaps the next truck we should be looking for.
The Hilux like the one in my above photo was more for AMF use, and never had US comms or weapons mounted on them - they used PKs and PKMs.

What they're doing is great so far.. and I hope those line drawings you're talking about are for future plans.... but I also hope we'll see a different vehicle soon and not just different variants of the same vehicle... some diversity would be nice

Those other drawings sound good. I hope they do come out. Another type of truck would be nice too. We'll see what comes in the future.
