Rodrigo,

If you are new to modelling, that is an impressive job!!!
The bridge is outstanding, and the progress in your house is superb.
Keep those pictures coming, it will be a pleasure to follow your progress.

Cheers,

Pablo

Pablo, thanks for your comment. as I said earlier, I have some experience in assembling models of buildings, but is very different. It has to be everything clean...

Cheers,

Well, to explain what type of wood I use, as I cut and I use to "simulate" the nails and screws used in the bridge, see the photos below.

I use a piece of wood about 1mm.

It's very simple. I use a cutter and a ruler. Since wood is very thin, it's very easy to cut

TIP: The wood strips are much stronger if cut direction in the fiber of the wood

You can also use a guide, trapping the wood with tape and cutting along the strip of wood.

this is the stuff that I use to simulate the screws / nails the bridge

They are very long, so I literally cut and use as nails, hammering ....: D: D: D

Rodrigo, you may think your attempt amateurish, but I'd buy a scale house from you any day of the weeks. Your results are superb. From the few houses I have helped build, you seem to be using the same methods carpenters use. Keep on building and never let failure or ignorance get you down. I'm learning new things from your build. Good luck on fixing the demag.

thanks, Matt.
Is a pleasure to share with you. My Demag is already assembled and painted. Particularly did not like the wear and washing it. I have photos of the process of assembly and painting. I'll post pictures soon.
How my dog destry it, I'll try to perfect now and it's likely I'll have to make some plays, because they have lost.
But that's it. We can not discourage

more photos:
Woodshed
I have used matchsticks to make the structure of the woodshed and the same strips of wood used to make the house.

Hi,
More advancements in the base.

On the riverbank, I usually apply a technique I use here in Brazil.
I seek tree barks that contain mud and put it in a closed box (so that no illumination). I leave it stored for a long time (3-4 months), it will dry naturally and it will remain the natural color. However I like to apply a little paint, because from this moment it will be exposed to light again and may lose a bit of color.

what you see below is purely natural colors of the mud "dehydrated"

I started the figures

And here, my demag, before they crash .....
There is not cool .... I want to enjoy it. This Demag is mounted for about 4 years. I dont want to lose it

But I'm renovating it. Not broken much.
Particularly did not like this painting and "wash" I think it was very dark

I dont like it that way, but to remove the paint and repainting will take a lot more work

next step is to apply water based (polyester resin crystal).

Now it's like I rode my tree.

I used thin wire (a lot of them). All positioned side by side and was turning and shaping twigs.

Vlad, now it starts to take more share.
I will apply the resin base. I already have a PAK 38 (I'll put in the trailer) and I also use a shwinwagen.

Hi there Rodrigo!
Nice prgress, man! Congratulations. The roof is quite convincing.
I have a little question: What did you use to weather the wood of the Bridge?

Thanks for sharing.

Pablo
well, to age the wood of the bridge I use a stain for varnish. Very common to find them homes of paint. These stains have a very strong pigmentation, then I diluted with thinner.
I do not mix the stain in the varnish, because the varnish takes too long to dry and also I would have to buy a gallon of matte varnish. This would be an eternity here.

So I use the stain pure, diluted with thinner.
There are various shades of color (depends on type of wood)

this is the look below. They are two different colors

A cerca na beirada da estrada também foi feita com a mesma folha de madeira e envelhecida com o tingidor.
