As its nearly the long holidays from uni im starting to get some ideas of some big projects for over the long summer break.
So one idea is a large diorama of a column of M-ATVs from panda in the snow in afghanistan, the M-ATVs are sorted im pre ordering the Panda ones soon but im having some issues with current USMC figures, for the last two humvees I did I used Legends humvee crews and gunners (with alot of mods) but I cant find anything to that standard or if i do they are all 2003-2005 era, so I would like to know what has anyone used, noted im not afraid of cutting them up sculpting and re-working them, is blast models marines ok, or how about airborne's?
Whos are more related in terms of size and sharpness of casting??
sorry about all the questions, i just have a grand idea in my head and would like everything to fit just so...
Keen to hear what you guys would or have used.....
Thanks Luke

hey Luke,
well, despite I'm not really qualified on giving advice on figures apart from tank crews I'd use the legends figures, should be only some minor changes to convert 'em to USMC specs... you could maybe also try getting your hands on some of those old warriors figs too but I'd expect 'em to cause some more serious resculpting and such...
some marines are still wearing the classic IBA so practically any figure with that body-armor would do. apart from that I believe Djiti do some modern marines with that late-style-tankie -like body armor. well, what else... how about sculpting some combat diapers as the marine corps just recently fielded:
Cheers, Max
