Hi,
yesterday I applied a coat of AK Dust Effects on my current build which is in the final stage of weathering. I did it using a brush. The issue is that when it dried it was shiny looking a satin finish I would say... not flat. Any idea why or how to do it better?

Were the contents mixed thoroughly? If so, I don't know what may have happened. I normally don't just rely on shaking the jars/bottles. I open the container and stir the contents with one of those Tamiya metal sticks.

Pawel,
So so late to reply, I have been off-line for many days. First of, is it possible to show a few photos? This way, I will have a better idea what is going on. Also, was the dust effect applied ovew a acrylic -or- laquer based paint and was this finnish matt - satin - or gloss?

thanks for the replies.
I don't have any pictures. It was done over matt acrylic surface. I guess it could have been the fact that I haven't shacked the bottle just before using the liquid. I did few minutes before so the pigments had the time to drop down since, at least some of them. I was used to use such kind of products in many ways. Shacking less the bottle make you take less pigments and though the liquid is "lighter". I've used this "technique" on Mig Production ready to use washes without any problems. Thus I was able to use (especially the dark brown) as a filter just by not shacking the bottle or shaking just a bit. Maybe the liquid "carrier" is different (however for the enamel based products) and it won't be possible with (excellent otherwise) products.
