I've got Tamiya's King Tiger Production Turret kit (35164) I was doing a test fit of the hull and discovered the back is completely miss-aligned (see photos). The side of the hull on one side stick about significantly from the back plate. I've never seen this in a kit, it looks like it's warped. Has anyone come across this issue/know any good fixes for it?

Hot water will allow you to manipulate the plastic back into shape.

A blow dryer will make the plastic pliable. Bend it to the angle you need and fix it there with some masking tape. Let it sit for a few hours to a day. This is the method I use to fix Skif kits.

Ok I just pulled my kit from the stash and dry fit the 2 hull halfs and there is a little space but nothing that some glue and a few minuets of finger pressure couldn't solve

Good to hear Sal, I was royally p-ed when I put those two pieces together.
Thanks for the suggestions Matt and Darren! If I try the water method should I put the entire piece in or just the side that needs reshaping?

George mate i know of a old trick which i have used in the past and it works without any problems ... i've had a couple of Tamiya kits with this problem .. first i fit everything inside the hull which needs to go there ..then glue the upper hull to the lower and then wrap it with good sticky tape ..then you aline the upper and lower hulls to the seams match , a good idea is to wrap the tape long ways aswell that way the entire thing is stable and solid and will dry square .. the glue of course glues it and the tape helps it to hold its shape .works really well ..worth a try if you other chats suggestions dont work
Some times this problem can be a real pain in the you know what ..good luck mate .
