Hey there matt!!
First off, that sounds like an interesting idea. I would love to see how it works out for you!
I suggest you watch “Full Metal Jacket” the first half of the movie is on an obstacle course and the barracks. Well here’s a link that might be helpful:

I hope this was useful!

Hey Matt,
That's a great idea. Please post how it comes along.I have a feeling you may be spending a lot of your time on converting figures to do what you want.
Cheers.

Vlad: thank you for the image. I wasn't sure if Full Metal Jacket covered the entire course. Looking at the image, it doesn't.
Jesse: looking forward to it
Parrot: the figures won't be too dificult to modify. I can use us tank mechanics for the uniform and there are a variety of heads available

Everybody starts lined up. As I recall we had two lines, and two recruits ran it side by side.
The first obstacle, it's been 37 years ago so bear with me, was a log (phone pole) on two posts about 4' off the ground.
Then, as I recall, there was a similar obstacle a bit lower which led to another log angled up to a wall.
It's hazy after that but I recall a 7' or 8' tall wall made from 2x6's, a rope swing over a water pit, the tall "ladder" seen in the movie, and other insidious obstacles designed to make one absolutely exhausted.
Other jarheads help us out here, it's been way too long to remember precisely.

Here's a link showing a basic o course at P Cola.
MCRD and PI have a bit more extensive courses, but you get the idea.

Wayne thank you for the video and memories. Looks like I have a couple of options.
