Does anybody know if there are any Russian recovery vehicles from WWII in 1/35? Perhaps a T-34, BTS4A, or a 251?

Hi, Matt
It shouldn't be too hard to build it yourself, I think. For example:

and another version

Hi Matt , there are several recovery vehicles kits out there but i have not seen any so I cannot comment on them.
The best way is to scratch build one yourself based on the T 34 , or KV1 or KV 8 . All you have to do is remove the turret and blank off the turret ring in one of the following methods. A simple canvas cover , or wooden planks with a simple hatch in the centre , or last a steel plate welded on and a two piece hatch in the center along with a fume extractor and a single episcope . very few tools were carried , but an extra set of towing ropes was used . I hope this helps cheers ian

Phill: thanks for the links. At that price, I think I'll scratch build it.
Ian: I have some drawings of the recovery vehicle. Scratch building seems
the way to go.

Be aware that BTS-4 and VT-34 are both post WW2 vehicles.

Cheers,

Not to mention that BTS-4 has nothing to do with T-34.

Thank you for all of the advice. I have decided to go with the T34T with a steel plate or superstructure. Drawings aren't necessary, as the conversion is quite simple.

Phill would do you still have the Aries kit? I have the kit and I just wanted to offer you copies of the instructions if you still need them.
