I have a few questions:
Was his Tiger a Mid. Pro.?
Was its # 217?
Could I use a Tamiya Mid Pro. and just paint his # on the side to make it his, instead of forking out for the Tamiya "Otto " version?
Thanks!
~CHip :-)

Otto Carius operated in many different tanks, starting off in a Panzer 38(t), moving on to early and mid production Tigers and finishing off in Hunting Tigers. Carius' original early-production Tiger carried #213. By the time of the Dunaberg operations, which I think the Tamiya kit is based around, he was in a mid-production Tiger.

Yep, his mid-production tank was #217. That being said, he sometimes didn't even ride in his own tank, often sitting in as radio commander to better control his entourage, or simply because his own tank was unavailable.
