Depends on what you are looking for, most terrain stuff can be bought in the model railroad section, various ground cover, dirt, gravel, grass, bushes etc. If you are looking for street scenes, there are various companies making buildings, streets, etc.

Hi,
I would suggest checking out the Online Hobby shops. I notice that your in the UK. There is a site in the UK called Trackpads.co.uk
I check it out from time to time, the owner of the site is also a member here and he has a store that carries Paints and Dio stuff and accessories.

Hope this Helps,

Not just Where to Buy, but also WHAT to buy. Check out these two superb books on Diorama Work, before you part with your hard-earned cash. There may just be products which you can get for next to nothing:

Hi

Try out Reality in scale, they do things such as mud in a pot and Forest in a pot, along with different types of grass mats etc

Also a guy on e-bay(Idzane) does diffferent ranges of Diorama accessories such as grass etc.

Hi

Most good model railway shops have scenery stuff you can buy.

For online shopping bookmark this site and have a look around the various sections. Lots of useful items.
