that just embodies "fun"... great work on the store fronts and all the little details. good use of the figures to lead the viewer around your scene and wonderful sense of a courtyard while keeping it open enough to see all the good stuff. this must have taken a while to build but it looks like a winner.
got any more oldies? cheers, bd.

It’s always nice to see another Vietnam diorama! I really like how you captured the busy atmosphere of a big Vietnamese city and also the peaceful quietness of the ‘urban courtyard’ (nice contrast with the military vehicles!) and full of great little details.

That's a very nicely done "cozy" looking scene!

Thanks very much guys,
It's taken me forever to get the hang of posting pics until one of our members told me about Photobucket.
Bruce,I have more "oldies" all over the house. Some I actually tossed to make room. Most were WWII as my intrerest shifted to Nam and then the gulf wars.
So my backlog will come ,some pretty good, some maybe not so good, but at least someone will get to see them.
Everybody have a great weekend.
Tom

Nice diorama! It is refreshing to see a city scene that isn't full of destroyed buildings (like Hue city subjects - although they do make good diorama subjects as well) and shows the Vietnamese people going about their everyday lives even though the war is close by (the US troops with the MUTT).
Good job!
Cheers,

Hi tom
Very exciting, I like a bamboo basket. This must have cost you a lot of time.

Hi Tom
Your idea of daily lives in a typical urban setting really inspires me to construct a similar diorama. Excellent . By the way, where did you get the shop signs from...they looked perfect

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for the comments.
Someone before asked about the baskets and I replied.Seems for some reason it's deleted.Basically no work at all.A craft store here and I believe the U.S.,Micheals,has a section for dollhouse minatures.some things can be used in 1/35 scale.
As for the signs.I have a number of books on the war with color photos.I hated to do it,but I cut the signs from them.
A little late, but Happy New Year to all.
Tom
