Heller also did a kit.
The Tamiya kit has the same lower hull as their Leopard 1A4, the Gepard lower hull is longer.
I think Heller has the same problem (shared lower hull with the Leopard 1A2 kit), but I'm not 100% sure.
Cheers,
Christophe

Heller also do this, I don't know if it is a copy... but Heller tracks of this vintage are generally awful.
The Tamiya FLaK Gepard is one of their finest kits..... from the 70's/80's....
I've built it, very nice, there is a PE set for it Aber or Eduard.
There is a one-stop Leopard Kits Reference Site
& a Leo 1 Thread here for more info

It's an older kit but I liked building it. There is a swing away part so you can see the radar equipment but closed there is a slight gap ( i could have probably fixed now that my skills have improved). It's probably soft on details compared to todays modern kits. I have no idea if there are any after market pieces for it. If you can find it for cheap get it. It makes a good weekend project.

Hi Kiong,
It depends which version of the Gepard you want to build, the kit despicts a very early version of the tank. For a serial vehicle, you have to omit the side skirts. You also have to add the gap between the 3rd and 4th roadwheel. Eduard does a quite good PE set for Tamiya. There has been an update set from a German AM company, but it´s OOP right now.
