ICM have just sent us the initial batch of (CAD) images of their latest in-progress truck kit in 1/35th Scale. Once again, it''s something that no-one has tackled, in styrene, before.

It's giving modeler's the choices like this and their other releases that make ICM a favorite of mine. What a great truck to make in styrene! It'll look awesome in both dioramas and by itself. Way to go ICM!

It's refreshing to see some companies producing new items for the market. Hats off to them.

Dear Mr ICM...

Could we please have some more allies vehicles like a Chev Blitz, Morris 8 cwt, or, the one I most want, a Scammell tank transporter in 1/35... Please?

They've already been presented with some concrete proposals for Allied softskins.

Saying that, I don't think there's anything wrong with whar they're doing. They have taken on the (absurd) gaps in the German softskin market and filled them admirably. This, the Krupp, is a VERY significant move for them...

Having just completed the Opel 3.6-47 Omnibus in 1/72 (Roden), I've taken a fancy to the vehicle. What would be the chances of ICM ever releasing this vehicle in 1/35, as the radio, command or ambulance version? It seems (to me, at least) that ICM would be the most likely candidate for such a project, considering the impressive and unusual releases they currently offer.

Finally my prayers have been heard and a manufacturer starts to do some of those very very interesting vehicles of the wehrmacht in styrene!

These are good news to me and I hope that they will keep the energy to do many many more of these exciting german trucks!!!

Kudos to ICM!

While I'm guilty of this on occasion, I don't think we should use news items like this to complain about what ISN'T being released, or lamenting that the manufacturer hasn't released our pet vehicle, especially when the announcement is something this unusual and noteworthy. I concur with Jim's assessment that ICM and IBG are doing a great service to the hobby in covering the transport items.

And let's not forget the other softskins ICM has released, including two Studebaker trucks.

Gents, if you look at photos of destroyed German armor columns, the vast majority of the vehicles are NOT tanks! Remember the whole "tooth" and "tail" question of how much "tail" an armored unit needs to project its "tooth." As the war developed, it was the units with mobility that remained effective.

And with AM resin companies offering tarps, stowage, wheels (including burned-out ones like those from BitsKrieg), the possibilities of using these vehicles in dios is enormous. I imagine at this rate Stalingrad releasing a line of SITTING German soldiers to put in the back of these trucks.

Bravo, ICM!

What IS getting released is now outstripping what ISN'T getting released.

While primarily an Allied builder, it's clear that (no matter what some may choose to think) there are many areas in Axis which have been grossly neglected. Considering how many DIFFERENT truck-types were captured, built under licence, contracted or put into German Military Service and served in conflicts from the Spanish Civil War until the end of WWII then it becomes an extraordinary number.

Every manufacturer has the Tiger, Panther or Blitz in their catalogue. Up until now, the majority of the Henschels or Krupps or German Fords have been ignored.

Yes, bravo ICM...
