Hi all!!!

I'm finally finished with the Puma and it's base. I hope you like it!

The Puma is from Cromwell and the figures are from Goffy. The road
sign and stowage are of my own creation.

If you have any suggestions about any thing I should add before I call
it 100% finished, please let me know!

Cheers

Sven-Åke

BEAUTIFUL work all around! The figures really bring it to life.

Is the slat armor that comes with this kit PE or resin?

Thanks my friend!!!

It's Included in the kit and it is also made from resin and it's
very very nicely done...

However care has to be taken when assembling the kit since it's
so easy to break it...

Great, I love it... It is hard to grasp the model is in 1/72 scale. The figures, stowage, slat armor, every little thing is fantastic, but the whole scene really brings the model to a new level. Great job!

Excellent result.
Not only do you have high painting skills but you always manage to set small but very consistent scenes.

Good work once again, P.A.

Sven-Åke,

As usuall, another Masterpiece, Sir!

It may be the images do not show it, but do you have track marks behind the vehicle? Otherwise it looks like "the Puma has just landed".

I just love your work. Hopefully when I actually finish something, I will achieve at least half of what you consistantly do.

Thank You Very Much Mario!!!

I always try to give the vignettes that I do as much balance as possible. If the tank alone won't accomplish that balance I usually add something to make it more interesting like in this vignette the road sign...

Thanks Alexander!!!

Many people say that I should move away from these small bases and do something bigger but I think it's more challenging to create something good on a smaller base. If I were to make something bigger I'm afraid it would never be finished... Too many details

Thanks Jeff!!!

I'm really glad you like it

About those track marks... We have several construction sites next to where we live and in some there's very hard packed dirt with a lot of stones and rubble and the bulldozers and other tracked vehicles that are there don't leave much marks when they move around... On the sites where the soil is looser and not so hard packed there are of course gigantic trackmarks so it all depends on what type of surface the vehicle is travelling on. In this case with my vignette I'd imagine that the surface is more or less hard as a rock...

Thanks!!! I was actually at a large shopping center the other day and I was offered a free check up on my eyes and what they told me was that my eyesight was actually getting better??? My glasses were too strong so I guess it could be an age related thing but personally I think that modelling in very small scales is good for your eyes

Thanks Richard!!!

Well, I don't think we can ever reach the level of detail that the larger scales
have but we can surely get very close to it and perhaps get some more
people from the larger scales to try out some small scale models...

Cheers and thanks for the comment!!!

Another superb build and vignette fom you Sven-Ake! The figures and the road sign really bring it to life.
I have never seen one of these Puma's before (i don't build much modern armour). It's an interesting looking AFV.
Looking forward to your next build.

Tim

And, I was expecting a WWII scout car. I stand frozen in awe!! I would swear it was a larger scale. I can't say enough good things about it.

Thanks Tim!!!

It is both ugly and cool at the same time and the Isreaelis are experts on doing vehicles like this... They are kind of intimidating and scary looking and they probably scare the enemy away without having to fire a single bullet

Sorry, no scout car from the past, more like something from the future by the looks of it... Very happy you like it!!!

@mgdsign – Sven-Åke,

Excellent! Another masterpiece. Both the vehicle and figures look realistic and to scale. Great job on the weathering and groundwork.

As usually has been the case lately with me, I’m late but here. I always marvel at your work, it is very inspirational. Well planned and executed. With the exception of a few small scale modelers here, your building and painting skills are at a much higher level than most of us and so it is always a pleasure to have you post and share your work here with us.

I understand how time consuming it is to do a step-by-step build log but I’m hoping that you’ll share your methods for achieving at least some of the results that are able to get with your builds here with all of us someday. And don't stay away for to long!!!

Happy Modeling,
~ Eddy

Magnificent work Sven-Ake, I too thought it was a big scale model and was stunned to see it is 72 scale.

+1 for a "tell all your secrets" blog, I'd never be able to match your skill but it would give me something to aspire to.
